Given the political situation in Syria today it is very timely that we have Vicky to bring her experiences to us.
The presentation is expected to include many slides showing the operating conditions and how life is lived in Syria.
All amateur radio fans are invited. The program at NWIDX Club meetings is very informal with a “dutch treat” lunch (you order what you want and pay for what you order). If there is any club business to be transacted it is usually very brief lasting only a few minutes.
This is a great opportunity for all hams, whether a DX’er, Contester, Builder or 2 Meter Rag Chewer, to learn and be entertained by someone who has been “on another side” of our hobby. A side that few hams have an opportunity to participate in.
In addition to Vicky’s presentation, we expect to have two ARRL Card checkers available to check and verify your QSL cards for various ARRL awards including DXCC and WAS.
The luncheon will be held at 12 Noon – Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Viking Chile Bowl Restaurant, 105 E. Morthland Drive (US 30) in Valparaiso, IN.
Any non-club member that would like to come to the meeting, please email John at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get a count of individuals coming.
